YES, THERE <emphasis type="underline">ARE</emphasis> A FEW "MUSTS

I TAKE issue with numerous speakers who repeatedly enunciate the doctrine that "there are no musts" in connection with the program. Fortunately, the expression is not taken in its literal sense by too many individuals. In my opinion, it was the intention of the early members to convey only one thought as it relates to the word "must," namely, that AA has no commands, ritual, initiation or format in an organizational sense.
