WELL, it's the same old story. After five and a half years of sobriety, I quit attending AA meetings about a year ago, stopped reading The Grapevine and to sum it all up, I FORGOT THAT I WAS AN ALCOHOLIC. A week ago I took that first drink, and actually thought that I could drink again. I even bragged about it and told my wife that since I had been in AA I knew all the answers, had become educated upon the subject of alcoholism, and that I now knew how to drink.
