I'M CONFUSED

Replying to "Anonymous, Toronto," "J.F.H., San Diego," and "J.A.D., Manhattan," (Jan. issue), I must confess finding myself rather confused as to what point these three members are trying to make, and I wonder if they are not perilously close to "hair splitting." Why are so many of our members so afraid of the word "religion"? My experience through the observations of eight years of AA membership leads me to the conclusion that the average alcoholic tends to become a better member when he returns to the church of his choice.
