EVEN the most brain-weary and footsore of editors (and who among the breed would not claim these occupational badges?) could not fail to see the bright thread of meaning woven all through this month's Grapevine: it is the ancient ritual of the giving of gifts, with hearts and hands and high spirits--a ritual newly precious to us whose way of life promises that the more we give, truly the more do we receive.
