From the Grass Roots
AA may be human in its organization. . .but it is divine in its purpose. Participating in the privileges of the movement, one should share in the responsibilities, taking it upon ones self to carry one's fair share of the load. To the extent that we fail our responsibilities, AA fails; to the extent that we succeed, AA succeeds. I shall not wait to be drafted; I will volunteer. I shall be loyal in my attendance, generous in my giving, kind in my criticism, and creative in my suggestions, loving in my attitudes. I will give to AA my interest and my devotion. . .but most of all, of my self. Love means service and so therefore a very evident mark of a real love for AA is an ardent desire to do something for its cause.
