Using All Our Strength

ONE day, in my youth, I was told by my Dad to pick stones off a field which was being prepared for planting. After three hours, walking in loose earth, carrying stones to the wagon and then returning for another armful, I became tired and the work became monotonous. But, knowing Dad, I continued to push on to complete the job. Father had immigrated from Europe at the age of seven and was forced to do his first field work by walking behind a plow pulled by two oxen. I know he wouldn't be lenient if I quit.
