On Looking Backward

A LOOK backward every now and then is a good thing. It is akin to the daily inventory and tells the story of just how much progress has been made. It is helpful for those who might get discouraged, impatient or irritated because of slow progress or for those who think no gains have been made. Going forward has always been a slow process. When the tendency arises to get disgusted, discouraged or frustrated because of stagnation or supposed halting of progress, it might be a wise tiling to pause and reflect on what our position was six months ago, a year ago or when we first contacted AA.
