Alcoholism Can Be a Blessing

SOME people stand up and say they are glad they are alcoholics, others thoroughly disagree. There is room for both attitudes. We may conjecture how useful our lives would have been without the alcoholic blemish, or we may feel that without our alcoholism and its final resolve in AA, we would never have come to live as our better selves deserved. Regardless of attitude the final test is in the action, and in the action we have found strength in weakness.
