From the Grass Roots

Yes, I did have stars in my eyes in those first days when I found AA--I still have, but they shine with a deeper meaning and more inner warmth today. The "Honeymoon" is over! The deeper understanding of human suffering, the frustrations of the many I have worked with in AA this past five years, have helped me to grow, to realize the futility of trying to play God, of trying to control the emotions of another human being.
