From the Grass Roots

WHEN I was very new in AA I lived alone, but I will always remember my first Christmas. I dreaded facing the day alone. I was also a little afraid I might feel sorry for myself and upset the so-far sober applecart. But a very thoughtful AA invited me to share in the family Christmas dinner. It was my first sober happy holiday in a long time. I'm glad it was not just assumed that I would have some place to go.
