Across the Editor's Desk

UNDERLINING the grave importance of the message from AA's co-founder beginning on page 2, we have moved ourselves, desk and all, back here to page 48, so that Bill's opening words, and our artist's strikingly symbolic interpretation of AA's protective spiritual cloak of anonymity, would hit you "right in the eye." (We did consider the time-honored device of leaving out "The Desk," as it is referred to around here, altogether--just to see if anyone would miss it--but we found the habit of expressing ourselves at random on the magazine's contents too pleasant to give up, even experimentally.)
