THERE BUT FOR...

You may call it a "Higher Power" or anything else you wish. To me it is God. When I was drinking I drank whiskey. I did not want any watered-down apology for whiskey. I was not interested in any of the derivatives of whiskey. My drink had a name: "Whiskey." Now that I am struggling along the road to sobriety, my thoughts are the same. I don't want any nickname for the party that is helping me to keep sober. He is God. I knew what I drank, I know what keeps me sober.
