Free Drinks Tomorrow

ANY alcoholic can give innumerable excuses for his past drinking. I always remember one of my pet alibis. A favorite tavern had a large sign behind the back bar which read: "Free Drinks Tomorrow." The sign remained permanently and I continued to come back daily, but tomorrow never came and, of course, no free drinks. So I kept on with my drinking--one day at a time. By the same token, I can now stay sober only one day at a time.
