ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS is a merry-go-round, that's what it is. And I have the strongest proof. Every once in a while my old friends come to visit me. They visit me as they would visit a zoo to see that animal from out of their world, a sober man. Those who have tried AA always say, "You know, I think I'll have to climb back on the Program again." Those who have not tried our way of life are even more amazed and invariably comment: "Shay, you look good, fella, guess I'll give that thing a whirl."
