A LADY INQUIRES

I'm one of AA's old maids. None of latter in Maine. . .do wish someone would write about problems of single person. (Why don't I, sez you. Wonder if I could do it without that old demon Self-Pity and his satanic companion Resentment rearing their ugly heads. . .only one way to find out.[1]) I suppose in metropolitan areas there are many single women, but every time I think I have found one in Maine, I find out she has been married, is divorced, widowed, has children, etc.
