Across the Editor's Desk

THE guy in this corner gets the mistaken idea every once in a while that they are all his very own discovery; I mean those bits of intuitive intelligence he gets in his AA rounds. And then he hears the very same thing at a meeting! Or reads it in one of your writings to the Grapevine! Discouraging! Cuts him down to size in one healthful swipe! Now take this one for example (and if you've thought it before don't stop me): the urge to communicate. That valid and valuable compulsion that makes possible the healing brotherhood of AA. How else would we be able to fill meetings with life-giving substance? How else would we be able to fill our own magazine? In short, how would AA's message get around?
