From the Grass Roots

We pray for strength in AA to face all the problems that may throw us. For eight years my faith in a power greater than myself has grown stronger as difficulties arise concerning an alcoholic in my family. A situation makes me feel weak and helpless; then a determination comes over me as I ask for help, and I realize that for the present I can't change the situation. I am not a church-goer but the beliefs I have, the faith, are so strong now that there hasn't been a desire for a drink since I had the last one eight years ago.
