The Drunk and The Wise Man

THE story is told of a drunkard who visited a wise man in search of sobriety. "Come with me, my friend," said the wise man, and without conversation, they walked toward a nearby lake. Reaching the shore, without hesitation they continued walking into the lake. Deeper and deeper became the water until it reached the drunk's neck. His frightened eyes were ignored by the wise man as they continued, until finally the water covered the drunk's head. After a moment they turned around and walked back to shore.
