From the Grass Roots

Surprising as it may seem, I am an alcoholic and so is everyone else around here who stays away from that first drink. In certain ways, we alcoholics are funny people. At times we get scared over things that don't exist. We become resentful over imaginary wrongs. We can't stand to be contradicted. If one of us gets some brilliant idea into his head, everybody else with a different idea had better shut-up-or-else. Almost without exception, at one time or another, we display that goofy big-shot complex. But not always. Usually, we're just wrapped up in ourselves like an English pot-roast.
