The Listeners

NEARLY all of the many alcoholics I have known, whether drunk or sober, and this definitely includes myself, are garrulous people. Learning to be a good listener isn't always an easy task but the effort frequently pays off. It appears, however, that constant practice is required and a self-discipline a little distasteful to most alcoholics.
