We Too Are Alcoholics
THAT the measure of manhood to a drunk is how much liquor he can drink at any given time, or how much he did drink upon some historical occasion, is not surprising; but it is perhaps a little more difficult to see why this should be true of an AA member who has been away from the stuff for years. Nevertheless, this seems to be the criterion, in speech after speech I've heard at meetings.
