SOME ANSWERS TO "M.M.'s" GRIPE ABOUT BAR-BY-BAR AA TALKS

The writer of the letter (M. M., Palisades Park, N. J.) is both critical of the generally accepted form of AA talks and also helpful in the various suggestions offered. However, reviewing some of my own efforts at speaking after almost a year's sobriety, and remembering something from most of the talks I have listened to, it begins to appear as though one would be treading on dangerous ground either by criticizing, or by trying to prescribe a formula for the average AA speaker.
