LOU was an elderly member of our group, a retired New York executive. Sweet and considerate by nature, he was a gentleman of the old school, appreciative particularly of the literary and cultural niceties of life. Sobriety came to him late, but he had some years to enjoy it and the richer, satisfying mode of living it brought.
