You Can't Go Back to Brigadoon

BRIGADOON, as all good movie-goers know, is a village that lives for only one day in each century. When evening comes and the lights go out, it fades away into the mists and disappears for another hundred years. Sometimes travellers find this village and have such a wonderful time that they spend all the rest of their lives trying to find it again. Since they can't possibly live out the century that must pass until it comes back, they are always unhappy, frustrated and disappointed and wander through life, hopelessly looking for something impossible to find.
