HILLS OF ARIZONA
It seems to me that the life of an alcoholic can be likened to the hills of Arizona. Before the Higher Power, whom we choose to call God, touches these hills with His beautiful sunset, they are bleak and harsh and ugly. Then as one is about to turn away from such a depressing sight (as we were about to turn away from our alcoholic spouses) a miracle takes place.
