From the Grass Roots

I am writing this from an experience I just had. I don't have a very good education but I would like for you to know of an experience that has happened to me and I shall call it, "God was on my side." I had been sober for seven months when I had a slip (or should I say I got drunk?). It lasted for six hours, my husband and sister helping me to recover. Five days later the old urge to drink came on again. I called the liquor store and ordered a pint of whisky. I started then to pray to the Higher Power, asking God not to let me take that first drink. Well, He heard my prayers. When the liquor arrived I was able to send it back. I never could have done it without God's help.
