NEW AID FOR ALCOHOLICS: Scientists are experimenting with a new drug which "penalizes an alcoholic unfailingly if he lakes a drink but treats him kindly if he doesn't," reports Delos Smith, United Press Science Editor. Mr. Smith says that the punishing drug (Antabuse) now in use penalizes an alcoholic even if he doesn't drink, and commonly imposes impotence. The new drug has no harmful effects on an abstainer but once he takes alcohol into his system his heart pounds, his pulse becomes rapid, he pants for breath and he may become nauseous.
