POINTERS ON POOL

I never am as smart as I thought I was. . .and I probably never will be as smart as I ought to be. . .but I remember one thing: when you chalk up a cue and shoot a game of pool, you don't place the cue-ball where you want it. . .you shoot it from where it's AT. You have the right idea and you know how you want to play the game (how everybody ought to play it) but you still have to play the position that confronts you at any given time. Any of us could run the table on 'em if we could call the position of all the entities on the table. They just don't roll up and stop that way. I will make you a promise, though; when it comes my turn to shoot, I won't get in a hurry. . . . I'll walk all around the table and I'll remember all that I've learned, and I'll do my best to put it in the right pocket.
