Stop--Look--Listen

THE FIRST WORD came to me out of the darkness of the trees and a moonless night, as we drove home from a meeting. We stopped at an intersection without effort or conscious concentration, and as we drove on the two companion words joined the bright image of the "STOP" on the blank screen of my mind until all three were revolving like the eternal news ticker on the Times Building.
