The Gift of Failure

THIS IS THE MONTH of the giving of gifts and of the receiving of same. People we regard with little attention the rest of the year are pulled out of memory's mothballs, checked off last year's list and sent a card or a pair of mittens or the latest, bestseller--in the order and expenditure of their importance in our undaily lives. Our nearest and dearest as well as our immediate associates receive more attention, time, money, and concern.
