PUBLICATION OF THE 1957 "GROUP HANDBOOK AND DIRECTORY" coincided with the Seventh General Service Conference (reported elsewhere in this issue.) The percentage of registration cards for the 1957 edition is estimated at 60% of the total mailed to groups, an improvement of 10% over the 1956 returns but still far below the standards GSH would like to meet. In 1956, 1,071 new groups and loners were registered.
