More About Happiness

IN AN ARTICLE in the June '56 Grapevine entitled, "Happiness Is Not Necessary for Sobriety," B. D. has basis for just complaint in saying: "Too much emphasis is being placed lately on happiness being the end result of sobriety" and that it is a "dangerous viewpoint to new members who are led to expect too much"--that is, if we agree with B. D. and attribute to the word "happiness" more meaning than Webster's number one definition: "enjoyment or pleasurable satisfaction attendant upon our welfare."
