More Than Mere Sobriety

I HAVE JUST COME FROM A FUNERAL. During every one of the eighty miles that lie between the little Pacific Coast town and my home the same thought kept running through my mind. We have heard it expressed at so many AA meetings: "We gain vastly more from this program than simple sobriety."
