On Tradition XI

"ATTRACTION RATHER THAN PROMOTION" is, according to my belief, the cornerstone on which the great edifice of AA was erected--gradually and sometimes with great travail. Some years ago this thought even incorporated in The Twelve Traditions, for the Eleventh in part, "Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion," Do I detect of late a gradual but insidious encroachment at the group, regional and even General Service level of the type of promotional thinking generally associated with "Madison Avenue"? In other words, this is a big deal and needs to be handled as such!
