A Woman's Story

I AM FORTY-NINE YEARS OLD, a college graduate, a graduate in medical technology, a registered medical technician, a member (inactive status) of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists; I hold civil service ratings in bacteriology, X-ray technology and serology. I am the mother of two daughters, and have both a grandson and a granddaughter. I cannot actually remember the first time I took a drink or why. I imagine it was in college (I am reasonably certain that I did not drink in High School) and that I did it just to be smart.
