One Never Do Know

A CHAP TOLD about his seven-year-old nephew. His nephew was visiting him for a few days and on the walls of this man's home he had a painting of the Christian martyrs being devoured by lions in the Roman Coliseum. Well, the nephew was completely fascinated by this painting. The uncle thought it was an excellent chance for him to tell about the hardships suffered by the early Christians. The boy listened, eager, wide-eyed attentive while the uncle described the tragic scene depicted to him. Then stood in silence while the child contemplated the picture and the Uncle was congratulating himself on impressing the lad very deeply. Suddenly the boy pointed to a corner of the painting and shrilled, "Oooh, look, Uncle, that poor lion there ain't got any Christian to eat!"
