A LITTLE MORE than eight years ago, with less than three months in AA, I was offered a chance for employment with a company in Chile which, three years before, had released me for reasons of "health." I accepted the opportunity and General Service Office (through Ann) wrote me many letters which did a lot to keep me sober that first year as a loner. I feel very humble as I realize that the privilege of happy sobriety has been granted me for seven subsequent years.
