Acceptance of Ex-inmates

A LETTER from an AA prison member about to be released on parole was published, in part, in the April AA Exchange Bulletin from GSO. The member was puzzled by a lack of response from the groups in the area where he expected to live and so he wrote to GSO for guidance: "I have written groups in the area where I shall be and there is less than a warm reception. Maybe I expect too much. Maybe I just don't realize I'm a convicted felon and must face rebuff. I know all people do not accept ex-cons but I do know many have open minds and will be understanding enough if I participate."
