THE leader opened the meeting by reading a letter from Karl E., of Yuma, Arizona, which appeared in the September Grapevine. "This typifies the questions which arise in the minds of many of us as we start to grow in AA," he said, "as we begin to struggle with the Eleventh Step and seek through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understand Him.
