Pardon Me. . . I'm Different

BLESSINGS ON THE DEAR little AA member who warbles, "You'll have to forgive me for flying off the handle like that, but we alcoholics are very sensitive, you know!" He then goes blithely on to do it over again! Or he holds resentments, criticizes, is intolerant, forgetful of others' rights, gossips--or any one of the multitudinous character defects to which mortal flesh is heir. He does it all under the banner of alcoholism: "I'm different; I'm an alcoholic so you'll have to forgive me."
