YOUR CONTACTS IN ITALY were appreciated, but unfortunately I could do little about them as I was there on business and spent the whole of the time in the Milan, Turin and Genoa areas. I'm sure there's no need to tell you what a difficult trip this was for me as an alkie--even after almost four years of very contented continuous sobriety through AA. There was always a bottle of vino on the table, rosso or bianco at every meal I sat down to--including breakfast--and I was continually under attack from the "Si, si, Signor" form of treatment.
