Short Snorts

A wealthy dowager and militant Dry suffered a chill and summoned a doctor. There was only one small hot-water bottle in the house, so the doctor asked the cook for empty bottles of any type. She hurried next door and returned with an armful of assorted bottles gleaned from a trash barrel. These were filled with hot water and the patient was soon made comfortable.
