Telling - Not Selling
I AM thoroughly convinced after many tries at twelfth-stepping that it's a job of telling and not selling. I was fortunate in gathering many new members into our fold, but there were many who didn't respond and that got me to thinking: who would buy this? If the new prospect was ready I couldn't say the wrong thing and if he wasn't I couldn't say the right thing.
