MANY times has Bill said or written that many non-alcoholics have contributed to the welfare and the thinking of AA. He calls them "co-founders." To his list of notable friends, he might well add the name of the late Dr. Chevalier Jackson of Philadelphia, who gained fame by rescuing safety pins from youngsters' throats without the loss of a child. His particular bit of philosophy might apply to our egocentrics (and who of us isn't?).
