My Daughter Is My Sponsor

This is a story I needed to write--first because I need to pay open tribute to my daughter, who with loving and intelligent patience brought me into AA as my sponsor and friend, and second to encourage other children of alcoholic parents. They have perhaps the most difficult task of sponsorship, requiring a total involvement of sustaining faith in and loyalty to their parents--a reversal of the natural relationship, to stand by and encourage a mother (or father) in the AA program for their incurable disease.
