Is Pride Taboo?

When I was approaching my first anniversary in this fellowship I had the wondrous experience--which most of us do have--of sponsoring my first "baby." He was a complete stranger to me, having been referred to me by our downtown central district office. The usual intense and dedicated effort of a first-time sponsor ensued. Even in his shaken and jittery state this "baby" of mine was a sweet guy. The eagerness and happiness he displayed in connection with his newfound sobriety was a stimulation to everyone.
