Short Snorts
In speaking of his gratitude for the program, one New York member says he doesn't want to be like the small boy who didn't utter a single word until he was eight years old. On his eighth birthday, his mother put a bowlful of new cereal on the breakfast table. The boy took a spoonful, spit it out and said, "This stinks!" His mother, amazed and delighted, said, "Why, Johnny, I didn't know you could talk! Why haven't you said anything before this?" Johnny shrugged. "Well, up to now." he said, "everything's been fine."
