ON the subject of how much good AA is really doing in prison we would like to cite one case in particular. Bill G. came to prison at a young age; he was given several hundred years. Being young, headstrong and a confirmed alcoholic he changed all the prison rules to suit himself. To everyone's amazement he found a way to continue his drinking. Of course he was punished on many occasions. That failed to do any good. Twice he was granted parole and each time he spent his first night in jail. Being a fellow with a fast line of bull he talked the authorities out of revoking his parole because of a little celebrating.
