Adult Nourishment

Now it is the end of another good year, based on the rock of AA sobriety, and under the guidance of the Higher Power. I'd never have guessed when I made that first desperate, panic-driven contact with AA (numb and doped, in the middle of a black fog, with my life falling to pieces around me) that an abiding joy would enter my world. But that is how it is. We hand our will and our lives over to God, and in return He hands us back the cup--not the gin glass, which we always knew was a poor substitute for living--but the cup of life itself, full and running over.
