The Saddest Story Ever Told

ONE of the greatest mistakes that can be made by us members of AA is to develop the reputation of being "funny." From the day this idea is conceived you might as well hand in your chips and go home. From that day on everybody expects you to be hilarious, even when you have the most casual announcement to make. To be funny by compulsion is darn near impossible. I know--I made that mistake.
